how to disable all the sizing handles?

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Hi
Plz excuse me if this is an old well known.
I worked in sibelius 7 and 8 before and since I got the newer version last year one thing has been driving me nuts:
Many of the times when I select something, say a dynamic pp with the mouse I accidently grab a handle on the edge of it, and it's really hard to click the exact right spot to select it to move it (and if I'm too fast I happen to reshape it horizontally or vertically). There are so many handles everywhere ! I zoom in a lot just in order to select the item and move it. It's all I want to do (who actually wants to start reshaping things? Such a strange choice for default setting).

So of course, my question is, how do I disable that?

I'm not finding that the handles are shown by default in Ultimate, but only if it has been saved in Preferences under Display as a Custom View and the preference are to open in Custom view.

So, to disable this, in the score I would go to View > Untick Handles (and anything else you don't want) and save the score
Then in File > Preferences > press Set Custom View options,
Then Open scores using: > View options saved in score > Ok

The issue arises when a text object is selected. There is no way to turn off the handles. They are a nuisance. Especially if the text object is small. If you are trying to move the object , You need to be careful not to let go of the mouse, otherwise you end up with the problem. You can always use tge arrow keys.
If you want to edit the text, press [return] or F2.
