Distortion lines on VDU

Several of my colleagues have experienced the same problem, in that even though Sibelius (v2) works perfectly normally, there is a band of (Static)? across the screen obscuring part of the score.

I suspect that they re using Windows 98 - but even so I don't see why this should be a problem.

is there a patch availabel, or is there someting that they can do with the display to get rid of the static??

Any solutions greatly appreciated
