Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Hi All

I have sibelius 4 demo and G7 demo

Is there any way to force the sibelius 4 demo (and therefore, presumably, the full version)
to print with decent resolution in os x tiger 10.4.8
G7 demo has a 'force resolution' option on the G7 page of the print dialogue, which works nicely
but in Sibelius4 demo cannot find this in the anywhere in the print dialogue.

preview and save to pdf have the problem too, so presumably not my printer drivers.
In preview the page looks fine if you zoom right in, looks pants if you don't.
If I save pdf as postscript, then open in preview and print, it works - but is longwinded.

what's the trick?

thanks
Al

Sibelius 4 uses a different (newer) printing technology than G7, and no longer requires the 'Substitute resolution' option. If you're having problems printing from Sibelius 4, you should contact our technical support team directly.

I did email directly to prehelpUK@sibelius.com as it suggests in the reference guide.

and got the reply below, so it's probably lost in the post!
who should I send to?

thanks

Al
