Time signature disappears when converting to stick notation

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Hi,

I have a single staff with a simple rhythmic pattern on it, and since I don't need pitch I want to get rid of the staff lines. When I do this using Create > Other > Staff Type Change > Pitched > Stick Notation, the lines indeed disappear--but so does my time signature, which I want to retain.

Any help? I'm using Sibelius 4 by the way.

Thanks,
Reinier

Try House Styles > Edit Staff Types > Pitched > Stick Notation and change the settings to show the Time Signature. Save with a different name if you still need to use the original settings for other scores.

To use your new staff type in future scores you would need to Export a House Style (and Import it into any new score needing the revised Stick Notation type).

I already found a way around it (by choosing one of the 'no lines' options instead of 'stick notation'), but this is certainly a nice thing to remember too.

Thanks, Sebasian!
