Merge two Systems in one?

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Dears,

i have a problem. I wrote a piece for piano trio and to work easier with the strings I divided each instrument (violin and violoncello) into two systems. No that I want to get the score printable and playable it seems more convenient to merge the double-systems into a single system. I would only need to voices.

How can I do it? I haven't found a hint after searching for so long in the reference.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks a lot!

You should also try out the "Arrange" function.

Select everything on both staves you want to merge, CTRL+C, click in the first bar where you want result to go, Notes - Arrange - choose "Reduction" and click OK. It gives slightly different result, cleaner, i think.

Thank you so much. I was having a really hard time with reduction (for some reason it was reversing the order of the two voices, so that the bottom line was being put on top and vice versa). This was a valuable and simple alternative and I appreciate it.

Cheers,
