I have managed to extract the bass part from a midi file arrangment, but instead of notes there are numbers ... 12, 16 etc., for the whole three pages.
As I want notes, what have I done wrong?

Note numbers?
Probably you openend this score in tab notation. To restore this:
- Go to Create > Other > Staff Type Change > Pitched > 5 lines
- Click at the beginning of the bass guitar staff
- You now should have notes (and rhythms) instead of the tab (numbers).
