Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Hi, everybody!

I have searched the forum but didn't find an answer for my question. So I'm posting it here.

I have installed the "Add Note Names To Notehead" plugins and it works great! But I would like to know how can I remove the notes and show only their names, like they do at the OnlinePianist site (http://www.onlinepianist.com/) and also at ClassPiano (www.classpiano.com).

Anyone can help me?

Thanks!

As a music teacher, I'll do all I can to help people learn to play, but not this sort of thing!

If you really must do this, try inputting the notes, then changing to invisible noteheads, then run the plugin. I don't know if it will work but you can try.

Thanks for your help, andyg.

I selected some notes, and by using the "Type" menu under "Notations", I changed notes to ""Headless". When I clicked on "Add Note Names", though, the software reinserted the head of the notes.

I think your way of doing this can work, but is there another way to try it?

Thanks

It looks like the plug in adds a new notehead rather than just adding the letters. In that case you'll just have to type them all in manually.
