notes missing from scan

Hi...When I scan the sheet of music it scans OK, "read page" works OK, but "make into Sibelius document" makes it into a Sib doc but loads of notes are now missing...I should add that my Sib version was given to me about 15 yrs ago and is version 1.1 so the Neuratron Photo score Lite may be where the fault lies...if so can I buy an improved version of this?

Both Sibelius and Photoscore and Sibelius are on versions 7 now, so I imagine vastly improved from what you have installed. You can get both from the Sibelius/Avid website. You'll get an updated version of Photoscore lite with Sibelius. Still not perfect but it's getting better all the time.

Check your system specs, as Sibelius 7 in particular is resource-hungry.

thanks KJ I've made an improvement since posting I now go to "file" ck on "select scanner" ...box comes up with title "scan music with MP500" and I change setting from...minimum height of staves 6mm(200dpi) to 3-4mm(400dpi)...it scans much slower and is much more accurate...Doh!
