I just downloaded Sibelius this evening, I've never used it before and am feeling my way round.

The score I working on at the moment only has one stave in treble clef. I want to add another stave in bass clef so I can add some harmonies.

How do I do this?

You need to think of a stave as an instrument, and use Home > Add Instrument (or just press I) > Others > unnamed (bass staff) > Add to score. Or you could add it as a bass notated instrument (like cello, etc).

If you wanted a grand staff (piano etc) instrument all along, you could have started the new score as Piano, or just add it now as above.
