Hi Sibelius experts,

I am notating music for flamenco guitar that requires a lot of repeated strumming. I have two staves for the same instrument: one notation, one tab.

In the tab stave, I would like to have numbers only when there is a chord change and then blank space for any subsequent identical chords, ie just the rhythm beams and not even slashes, as this will clutter up the stave.

So, if there is a row of eight semiquavers all on the same chord, I simply want to show the tab numbers on the very first semiquaver and then after that just the rhythm beams above (or extending into) the stave of the remaining seven semiquavers.

Is there any way of doing this?

Many thanks
Jimi

Maybe try hiding all the tab numbers (ie. notes) that you don't want? They'll appear greyed out on the screen but at least won't print. I think you still have to have the first note of each beam group showing, but the appearance will be significantly de-cluttered. Just a suggestion though.
