How do I playback as written, not as recorded

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

When I playback a recording, it's playing it as I had it recorded, so any flaw, off timing, is played back.

Instead, I want it to playback as the notes are written, so everything is matched to the metronome perfectly, and not playback my offbeat recording.

Thanks

Play around with flexitime settings. Some changes may be needed.
Sib does NOT have a 'quantize' feature lie a DAW does.
Turn off all interpretation (including your own and play very, very strictly to the beat.
Slow the tempo right down, so you have more thinking time. You can always playback at a faster tempo than you played it in.
Sib 6.2, 7.5 and 2023.6, Windows 11, 32GB RAM, 16TB 7200RPM Storage, 2TB SSD, Note Performer 3.3.2, EWQLSO, EWQLSC, Harmony Assistant and some others. mike@mike-lyons.co.uk

1) google "taming the flexitime beast" - that will give you a lot of information
2) Practise! No, I'm being insulting, there's a difference between playing normally and trying to input something into Sibelius! You need to practise both methods.
3) consider manually inputting the notes, with practice at doing so, it's often faster!
