Shorter Stave

I'm copying an old printed clarinet piece from an old faded photocopy for practice. All of the staves hold seven bars each. One of them is only 5, and it leaves room for text and DS symbols at the end of the stave. How can I create a shorter than normal stave, two bars shorter than the others?

If you turn View > Handles on (ticked), you can drag the small blue box to the right of the last bar of the line in question to the left, leaving room for your text etc. Careful not to drag too far, or some bars may 'spill' over to the next line.

Thanks for responding. I actually need to push the stave right to left? Is this possible?

I thought that was what I was describing, but perhaps I misunderstood. You can move the left or right sides in or out.

If that doesn't help could you perhaps attach an mage of that part of the score to your next post?

KJPalmer, and only too right you are!
My apologies, I didn't read your response carefully.
I turned on the Handles, as you said, and moved the stave to the left as I wanted.

Thanks, very useful tip.
