Hello all,
I'm struggling with the following problem (see image). In 6/8 time, I'd like to avoid having two dots for the first note, shared in two voices. How is possible to have to two stems (one up and one down), but only one dot?
Or would you have another engraver suggestion to tackle this notation? It seems to be like overflow of information.
Thanks for all help and best!
Gabriel
How to avoid two dots in two dotted notes in two voices
This issue was actually fixed in later versions of Sibelius, so this must be an older version.
Sib 6.2, 7.5 and 2023.6, Windows 11, 32GB RAM, 16TB 7200RPM Storage, 2TB SSD, Note Performer 3.3.2, EWQLSO, EWQLSC, Harmony Assistant and some others. mike@mike-lyons.co.uk
The latest version of Sibelius is 2021.12. Make sure you get Sibelius Ultimate. Anything else would be a severe downgrade from 8.x. If you can afford it, buy the perpetual version, rather than a subscription. The system they use is highly flawed and will cause you endless problems.
