Hopefully this is the right area to post this...

Essentially, I am trying to make use of "Home>Instruments>Edit Instruments>Edit Staff Type" to correct some percussion sounds that aren't what I want. When I open the Edit Staff Type window, I can make all the changes I want, then hit OK and get back to the score, but it still plays the way it did before I changed the sounds and noteheads. However, when I then go back into the window, it still shows all the changes I made, so there's some disconnect between what Sibelius is showing me is the case vs. what actually gets played when I click on notes in the score and when I play the piece back.

Any and all help is appreciated. I'm using Sibelius Ultimate on MacOS Big Sur, and I'm also using the NotePerformer sound library.

OK, which version of Ultimate? AFAIK versions before 2019.9 won't work properly on big sur.

Can you send me the file, with an explanation of exactly what you are trying to achieve, and I can take a look.

Thanks for the offer, but in fact I just went back into the file and realized that I had been editing the "marching tenors" instrument staff type, when the instrument in my score was "quads." I've got everything playing the way I want it now.

If I had a pound for every time I've done something like that I'd be very rich!!
