Hi to everyone! First poster here.
I wanted to replicate this kind of harp writing, which flips beams according to which hand plays a fragment of the arpeggios. This presents some problems, mainly the eighth note silences (which I think are importante because it implies that when left hand is playing, right hand mutes) which could be done by dividing in two different voices the arpeggio, but because I'm dividing this in two voices I can't slur all the arpeggio. The silences could also be written as another voice, and the arpeggio as one, flipping the beams as necessary, but this would mean that I have to tidy up a lot moving the silences and all that (and to complicate matters, the bass cleff silences forces me to hide alternatively one silence from the treble cleff and one from the bass). Nevermind the hardwork, it always turns out messy. Is there a tidier/easier way to do this?
Harp writing issues
The rule of thumb in Sibelius is Stems up = voices 1 and 3, stems down = voices 2 and 4.
You may have unnecessary rests to hide. Sibelius is awful at cross staff writing. You just have to do the hard work.

Thanks for your answer! Is this by any chance easier on another music notation program?
You mean the one beginning with D? I don't know. I'm still learning with it, but I'm old now, so the learning is very, very slow!
