How do I reset so I don't get collisions?

Sibelius beginners can discuss all things Sibelius here ("how do I...?").

Hi folks,

I keep getting collisions on my first and second page (with the piano overlapping the vocal score) but I can't seem to get out of it. No matter how I move around the staves (or press reset space before/after), I can't seem to fix it.

Can you help me?

I've included a screen shot of what it looks like.

Thanks!

Cmd+A
Unlock Format
Reset Space above Staves
Reset Note Spacing
Optimise

That should do it. And please try never to move staves manually - it's a last resort and Sibelius usually does a pretty good job if you let it! It's also worth remembering that formatting a score should be the final thing that you do, once all the music etc is entered and you're 100% sure that you're not going to make any major changes.

However, you say you have Sib 8 and a Mac. If you've updated your Mac operating system to anything recent, then Sibelius 8 will not work correctly. You'll have to upgrade to the latest version of Sibelius Ultimate.
