Hello,

I'm new to Sibelius, and I have a few questions about some issues I've already encountered.

I've just switched from Musescore 4 to Sibelius because it seems easier to me and I can do more with it. However, I couldn't find two of the features I used in Musescore.

I am a piano teacher, and I write my own lessons. I write very short exercises (1 to 2 bars), and I would like to put several small exercises on a single line with space between them. In other words, it should look like this: (image created from Musescore).

How can I do this in Sibelius?

Also, I have a problem with my time signatures. When I add a final barline at the end of a system and request a system break to start a new small exercise, my new time signature ends up at the end of the previous system. How can I hide this time signature? If I use command + Shift + H, it also hides the time signature at the beginning of the new piece...

Here's an example:

Thank you in advance!

1. Select the bar which is to start the new exercise and open the Inspector. Look for Gap Before Bar and set it to a suitable value.

2. Insert the TS using the [ctrl/cmd]t method or use the rt click menu. In the TS dialog, there is an option to show cautionary sigs. Uncheck this box.

With a TS that has already been inserted, just insert a new one on top of it. Be aware that bars following will be re-written according to the new TS.

3. Select the bar after which you want the new bar and press [ctrl/cmd][shift]b
