Hey folks.
I'm trying to get G7 to open finale 2007 files using the instructions and converting the finale file to ETF. The f with arrows appears replacing the finale scroll and appears to be ready. I open in G7, the info boxes appear,
and the loading box appears and then disappears and I'm left waiting for the opening that never comes.
Is G7 and finale 2007 compatible for transfers or is G7 to old?

s:)

G7 was released before Finale 2007, so it doesn't know how to open Finale 2007 files, I'm afraid.

If you want to attach the Finale score here, I could convert it to MusicXML for you, then open it in Sibelius 6, then export it in Sibelius 3 format, which would allow it to open in G7.

dspreadbury.
I don't need any conversions right now but thanks for the offer.
one more question though; is G7 a version of sib3?

G7 is not really a version of Sibelius 3, but it was developed at the same time as Sibelius 3, and it saves files in a format compatible with Sibelius 3.
