Hello everyone,

I am having some issues when using XML files that were exported from Dorico. A lot of information (e.g. systemtexts, techniques, slahes a.s.o.) is missing.
Is there something I have to look out for when exporting the files, anything I can do about it?

Thank you kindly for your help!

Best regards,
Florian

All I can say to you is that Sibelius' xml import is flaky (and always has been) at best. Whenever I'm going to import stuff into or export from Sibelius with xml, I usually run it through MuseScore. The results are usually a lot better.

I've had Sibelius go bananas when importing some xml files. It hangs and when I restart, it has problems with the audio engine settings, which I then have to carefully reset before it will run smoothly. Why an xml file should do this I have no idea but I can replicate it (though I obviously don't want to!) by loading any of the files that create the issue.

The solution for me is to import it into Musescore, then re-export it. Or use Sibelius 6.2, which seems to be fine, even with xml files that are much more recent.
