I mainly use my PC for Sibelius 6.2 and Photoshop elements. The SSD drive is practically full, making Photoshop hard to use, so I plan on buying a new PC which will serve both purposes equally well.

I've always been a Dell user but I don't want McAfee pre-installed. They do a gaming PC without McAfee. The specs are:

ALIENWARE AURORA R16 GAMING DESKTOP
Intel® Core™ i7 14700F (61 MB cache, 20 cores, up to 5.4 GHz Turbo)
Windows 11 Home
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4060, 8 GB GDDR6
32 GB: 2 x 16 GB, DDR5, 5600 MT/s
2 TB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD
500W Platinum Rated PSU, 120mm Liquid-Cooled CPU & Clear Side Panel

Any opinions?

Also, is it still possible to buy any version of Sibelius outright? Someone told me that 6.2 would run on WIndows 11 but a compatibility chart I found said it won't.

6.2 runs in compatibility mode on Win 11. I, too, would not give MacAfee houseroom.

You can buy Sib outright, but why not take advantage of the offer to make your version current? You might find this link useful. If you have an Avid account, you should be able to get current for a much lower cost than an outright purchase.

What do you mean when you say 6.2 runs in compatibility mode? I'd prefer to stick with that version if possible. it gives me everything I need and I don't want to have to learn a new interface (which is why I never upgraded from it).

Rt click on your desktop icon and choose compatibility from the menu. You have a number of options to choose from. I'd probably use compatibility with Vista or Win 7 if available
