If you have the facility to make PDF files at all, you can print with maximum resolution directly from Sibelius. Various factors inthe conversion process make it less likely that you will your best results from sone other piece of software.
Sibelius can accept both Adobe's own print routines and freeware and sharware PDF programs (e.g. PDF995) as if they are printers - you just choose that instread of your usual printer from the PRINT dialog, and create PDF directly.
I recommend that you concentrate on making the adjustments necessary to make Sibelius perform at its best, both on your printer and in PDF, unless you want to combine music with large slabs of text or graphics.
