Hi there,
I'm transcribing an acoustic guitar piece and am not too experienced in Sibelius and was hoping someone here could help!

When I want to click in the rhythm for a guitar piece with a kinda pedal note underneath the main melodic line, how do I enter the extra notes? I'm in 3/4 and trying to put 3 crotchet notes underneath a line which is made up of semi-quavers and quavers. I don't want to have to create another part to display the root note crotchet rhythm, obviously you can put them all together somehow.

Thanks,
Max

you need 2 voices.

press alt+2 then your in second voice mode and can add extra notes.

You will see green notes for voice 2 and blue notes for voice 1.

Use voice 2 on the bottom and voice 1 on the top to keep stems pointing away from each other.

You can delete the left over rests as well - useful if your voice stops half way through the bar for instance.

Thanks all fixed

Typo! He means Voice 1 for the upper parts!
