Best graphics format for video?

I'm trying to create some videos and include the TAB and notation that I've created in Sibelius 5.1 in the video.

I use sony vegas pro 8.0 to do the video editing, and ideally it prefers a .PNG image, but I find that the .PNG image output I get when I export to .PNG from sibelius directly is not very good since I have to use the 75 dpi setting and make it even smaller from there usually.

Does anyone know the best way to do this? I suspect there are several things I have to do as far as layout parameters and exporting parameters, but I cannot find this information anywhere. Thanks for your help
