How do I notate an octave tremolo in the bass clef for the piano. Ones that sound like a tympani roll. I couldnt find an answer in here. Help, I am in the middle of arranging a piece for brass quartet, mass chorus, and piano.

I think this is what you are looking for:

Suppose you want a whole 4/4 bar tremolo between an F and a C.

- Create the F and C as two half notes (sorry, I don't know the english "quaver-system").
- Select the whole bar.
- Go to the third keypad F10
- Select the tremolo on the keypad (Enter button
- Select the type of tremolo with the digit keys (the amount of "beams" dictates the spead of the tremolo.
- Now you should have two whole notes (the correct notation of a tremolo in this situation) connected by the tremolo beams.

Of course, you can use this method in all situations: one bar, two beats, one beat, etc ... .

Let me know if it works.
