Hi again,
When writing out drum music the crash cymbal and hi-hat are very similar and sometimes i don't realise i should be playing the crash and not the hihat. (The crash is usaually on the stave and the hihat is between staves on the top section on the bar)
Now this has been a common problem to drummers in the past and so often they circle the crash cymbals (sort of like a half note with the note head as a cross) so its obvious its a crash.
Is there anyway i can do this is sibelius?
make crash cymbals stand out more?
You can define a new notehead, using the circled X symbol. There are two sizes available (Circled Notehead and Circled Notehead 2) in the Notehead section of the symbols menu.george wrote:Is there anyway i can do this is sibelius?
If you change the notehead, and if you want correct playback, you will have to change the drum map tell Sibelius to play Crash Symbol when it finds your new notehead.
