displaying icelandic characters

i cant make sibelius display the special icelandic characters ð and þ
i can write them into the text but as soon as i click on something else and it becomes part of the document they change to question marks
if anyone is so funky and cool that they know the awnser to this you would be assisting not just me but a nation of sibelius users
