Hi Sibelius friends,

Recently I have written a piece of music which is written in simple 4-4 meter (Time Signature) with 6 crotchets tuplets, but I would like to change it to compound 6-4 time signature on Sibelius 6. After adding and changing the original 4-4 time signature to 6-4 nothing happened to the tuplets and to other notes. So I had to delete everything and retype all over again! I expected that Sibelius automatically changes the notes but it did not happened. Is there any way I can make it without retyping everything?

In Finale there is a function called REBAR which deals with this issue.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards

Pretty sure there's a Sibelius plug-in out there that does this.

ok Andyg, I have been to the plugins and there is one that converts from simple to compound time, but it does not ask you what is your compound time target, instead it changes to 12/8 directly without asking! Maybe someone knows another plugin that converts a 4/4 six notes crotchets tuplets to a 6/4 six note simple crotchet.

thank you for trying to help me.

Best regards
