How to stop piano pedaling playback.

Hello,

I'm doing an orchestration for someone who sent me an XML file of the piano part. Copied his part into a full score. Apparently he played parts of it with very heavy pedaling (or the conversion from Finale to XML to Sib. interpreted that way) and Sib is playing this back. There are no pedal markings to get rid of.

I don't want to re-enter the part note by note. I am doing an entire Musical Theatre show for the guy and this would be really, really time consuming.

Is there a way to either, a. get rid of the pedaling altogether or, b. stop Sib. from playing it back?
