Is it possible to get timings via timecode for a particular section of a score? Is there any way to subdivide timecode into movement timings, that is? Thanks

What are you trying to do? Have you looked up timecode in the manual? If you select a note, Sibelius will tell you exactly the time that note occurs in the piece.

i have a large score of an opera (each act a separate file) and i need to time individual arias. is there any way to set edit points on the timecode apart from re-starting the timecode at each metronome change? is there another way to find timings w/o using timecode? thanks to all

The only way I can think to do that is to select the last measure of the first section you waht to time. The timecode to the end of the measure will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Write down that number. Select the last measure of the next section you wish to time. Write down that number. Do this for each aria. Subtract to find the time of each section. This should work reguardless of meter changes. There may be a plug in for this.

Does anybody have a more convenient way to time a section (a selection of bars) ?

In Finale, pressing "3" after selecting bars will show the duration in minutes/seconds.

Is there something like that in Sibelius?
