Hello everybody,
In the midst of a very intensive weekend of composing (and the cerebral turmoil that accompanies approaching deadlines) I somehow managed to make my most significant advancements on a file that I had opened from the Backup Scores folder, and never moving it from there. Once I had done my deed I proceeded to work on other files, saving compulsively and thus, after 40 or so saves my first composition appears to be lost forever.
I write to you knowing that I'm probably screwed. I've lost most of this day trying to check the +3,000 files that I recovered from my hard disk using a Data Recovery software. My question would be: is this actually worth it, or is the file lost forever? I figure that once the Backup folder files are overwritten there's nothing you can do, but maybe a file's index has nothing to do with the folder where it's stored at.
