Hiding Staff

I have a piano part in my score with both hands written for about 10 bars and the rest I have slash marks in the right hand with chord symbols above it and the left hand is then empty. Is there a way of when I print out the parts to to eliminate the left hand where it is not playing and just have one stave with the chords above it? I may have the left hand come in again at some point. That would save a lot of ink and paper.
