Tempo Quarter Note Shortcut
Hi,
On MAC Yosemite, Sibelius 7.5.1, I can't get the shortcut for adding note values after creating tempo text. So I click cmd+alt+T and get the tempo flashing then I click cmd+4 and nothing happens. The shortcut is listed next to the item, but it doesn't work. Is there a way to maybe change the shortcut? I can't find where it is in the "keyboard shortcuts" menu.
Thanks for your help.

Here's how I do it on a PC (mac ?)
Select the note, Move cursor to a blank spot on the score, right click (cmd click), menu opens, scroll over Text, select Metronome Mark, flashing line appears over note. If it is here that your cmd + 4 doesn't work, try just cmd (right click on a PC). A menu should come up with many options, note values being among them. Don't forget the space before and after the = sign. Hope I'm not too confusing.

That's the problem. I don't want to right click and select from the menu. I just want to use the shortcut.bobp wrote:Here's how I do it on a PC (mac ?)

No idea why the shortcut doesn't work for you. However there is a section in the manual that outlines how to edit and create shortcuts.
BTW, if you are entering 4 from the data pad, is the pad working? Sometimes my numlock key gets turned off.

The number quoted in the instructions is the one on the numberpad - NOT the top row of the keyboard. If you don't have a numpad, you need to use the laptop keyboard shortcuts.
