Yesterday I installed Sibelius 7.5 with the Sibelius 7.5 sound library (30GB+) on my iMac. Everything completed installing, pop up message said all sounds were installed successfully. But when I search for the soul library i can not find where these 30GB of sounds are located. I'll I'm able to find is a Sounds 7.xml file that's less than 1MB in size. So, where are the 30GB of sounds located :?: :?: :?:

Why do you need to locate the sound files?
Is something not working? Did you install to default locations? The sound files are 36+GBs not 30+GBs. If you installed from DVDs, there are sounds on all four DVDs. Is this an actual install, or did you migrate the software?

30GB+ means "OVER" 30GB. That would include 36GB+.
I was not trying to be precise and exact, simply giving a round bout figure off the top of my head.

I want to locate the sound files, simply because I want to know where they are hiding.

Can someone provide me with a simple answer or is that info classified above top secret???

Thanks

Mac: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Sibelius Sounds

So I'm told, I never use the things - Macs, that is! :)

Hey Andy,

Thanks for chiming in. I found my Sibelius 7.5 sounds tucked away on my ext. HD. I must have moved them there a while back and forgot I did that.

About you never using a "Mac"....well I'm so sorry to hear that. Have you considered seeking therapy to treat you PC/Windows psychosis :?:  :!: :D

Your OP was unclear as to why you wanted to know where sounds are stored. I thought you were having some kind of problem. 30GB+ could also be 34GB. Which would not be enough for sounds to work. Even if Andy had answered before I did, it wouldn't have helped, would it.

I did once have a half share in a MacBook Pro (and I only did that as we picked it up for 25% of its original cost in a 'fire sale'.

But I've been cured now, I'm back to a rather superior Windows laptop and a PC -Proper Computer. :D

Only joking - and I'm glad we've got to the bottom of where your sounds were!
