I'm making an arrangement of a song and would like to get it into the score for ease of access, but whenever I import anything, I get no sound. Neither MP3 nor WAV works and when I load a WMV, I get the video, but with no audio. All of my instruments make noise, so I know Sibelius's playback is working and I've adjusted the volume slider on the video tab too. What is going on? Any help is appreciated.

It would help to know which version of Sibelius you are running.

AFAIK it is impossible to import .wav files so there is no point in trying.

When you import an .mp3 file you should get a wizard dialog. Do you? Does it then give you sheet music on the screen?

And are you using a single client ASIO driver?

I am running 7.5. I use ASIO4ALL. I don't get any sheet music when I upload a file, only the resolution/volume box. Basically it's the exact same as a video upload but without said video. Thanks for the responses.

How could Sibelius possibly be able to produce a score from an audio file(or a video file)? A full version of Audio Score might be able to. But even then, the results are not good.

He probably means a logo to symbolize it being a song and not a video or something.

Sorry, I was confusing mp3 with mid. My bad. AFAIK there is no way on God's earth that Sibelius will EVER open a sound file of any type. You need a programme called Audioscore to do that. Sibelius WILL import MIDI files (extension .mid) so look for one of those.
