Insert Measures BEFORE bar 1

I have a score that's finished.
But now I've decided to add in 4 intro meaures.
These intro bars should be inserted BEFORE bar #1.
After these 4 intro measures are inserted the current bar #1 and all subsequent measures in the score should be moved/shifted to the right to begin at bar #5, leaving me with 4 inserted BLANK measures from bar 1 to bar 4.
When I attempt to do this now, I select bar one, and I then insert 4 blank measures. When I do this the current measure #1 DOES NOT move to the right, instead it stays put (everything at bar 2 onward gets moved to the right) and the 4 blank measures get inserted from bar 2 - 6.
Is there an easy no hassle way of inserting 4 empty bars BEFORE bar #1 so the current bar #1 and everything subsquent measure in the score is shifted/moved to the right, allowing me to input my 4 bar intro beginning at bar #1

Yes - press Esc twice to deselect everything, then Add measures, then clicking on something in the first bar should do it. I actually usually click to the left of the first bar, to be sure.
Deselecting is often the best thing to do before doing any editing to avoid changing a wrong (selected) object.
Also, check you haven't added any bars right at the end of the score - easily done if using the add measures button/menu as it's the top (default) item on the list.

My intial post describes your suggestion below (which I've tried many times) that does not work. Your suggestion will only add mesaures AFTER bar one (starting at bar #2). I want the new added measures to be inserted BEFORE bar #1 not AFTER bar #1.

I'm surprised that since posting this message 1 day ago, no one has or will answer my question. Surely Sibelius 7.5 has some way to quickly & easily accomplish this task. But perhaps I'm mistaken. Maybe there is a way to do this, but likely involves some convoluted, multistep, ardrous process or some 3rd party plugin, like so many things do in Sibelius. What a frustration & disappointment this often is.

Thanks FrDerek, days ago, I've already figured out the "WORK AROUND" you suggested.
But again, the purpose of my post is to ask is there a SIMPLE/EASY/NO HASSLE way to do this.
And clearly, after 3 days waiting for an answer, the answer appears to be is NO!!!
Once again, Avid fails to have included a feature to do something that should be so simple to do with just 1 click of a button or with 1 simple key command.
Too often, Sibelius uses have to resort to performing convoluted/time consuming "WORK AROUNDS" or being forced to download and install 3rd party plugins to do simple things that should be included built-in out-of-the-box features!!!
It's this kind of crap that has me chomping at the bit waiting for Steinberg to release their pro -level scoring application.

1. Insert 4 bars after bar one
2. Select and copy (Ctrl-C) bar 1
3. Paste (Ctrl-V) into bar 5
4. Select bar 1 and hit 'delete'.

Use the Add Pickup Bar plugin. Specify a full bar's worth of pickup. You'll get a new, empty bar at the front of the score, with attached objects such as Title Text conveniently moved to it. For further preliminary bars, select this new first bar then press Shift-Ctrl-B as many times as necessary.
