Hello everyone,

I downloaded sibelius and I'm now trying to write my first score.
However, I can only write normal major triads (e.g. C), but whenever im trying to write another type of chords (e.g. Cm, Bbmaj7, etc) the chords turn red and wont transpose when needed.

Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Select note where you want the chord to go. Press Ctrl-K. Type chord name. If you type c (it doesn't have to be upper case), cm or bbmaj7 you'll get exactly the chords you've mentioned. Either Tab or Space Bar to move cursor to next position and continue or Press Esc to finish. If you're not doing that, you should be!

Now read through the Reference, look at Chord Symbols, where things are explained in more detail.

Thats exactly what I've been doing,
but the chords I write keep getting red, which means Sibelius cant recognize them,
and I don't know why, or how to change it...

Red also means that Magnetic Layout can't deal with collisions as you're trying to pack too much into a system or onto a page. Try Optimising the layout and using Reset Note Spacing.
