Sibelius 7 Running Slow?

When I click on a measure or a note I have to wait about 2 seconds before the measure or note gets highlighted and then I can continue. My other programs are running quickly, no problem. Very frustrating. Anyone know what the problem could be?

You might need to change to a different audio driver. If you are on a PC, you have at least three choices. Look up Audio Engine in the manual to learn how to change drivers. You need the one with the lowest latency.
Try that first.

Large score? On a Mac rather than a PC?
Both things that can also give sluggish response like this. Much discussed on the official forum.
