Hi there!
I'm facing a spacing bug with the last version of Sibelius 2018. (see attachment)
As one can see in the example, the chord A, E, F, A is voice one (stems up) and the notes B, F are voice two (stems down).
Still I don't understand why Sibelius place the Bs so far away from the chord by default.
I know this is possible to correct through The Inspector, but why is this happening?
Thanks in advance.
Spacing bug.
Hi mosaiques
Don't know why you get this. Seems ok on my side. Did you try, after selecting the measure, Appearance=>Reset Note Spacing ?

Hi again. Think I found the reason, look at the screenshots. I have the french version but still, if you go to Engraving rules=>Notes and Tremolos (not sure about the translation in Sibelius english), in there you should find "rules for positioning voices" : versions 1 - 1.2 - 2 - 3. Click on rule 3 and this should solve the problem. On my side the bad positioning of the B natural is due to the voicing rule being on version 2.mosaiques wrote:Thanks for your answer Pierre!
First voice has an F in the chord not a G. It shouldn't be a big difference for the notation spacing but try to reproduce the example I posted exactly as shown and see what happens. Please!?

Merci beaucoup Pierre !
Funny to see that I don't have "version 3" of the "voice position rules" parameters. (Sibelius 2018.1 build 1449 - Windows 10 x64) (see photo).
The problem is the F in this case, or the note placed on the other side of the beam, then the second voice appears by default after that note. (see example without F).
EDIT: I think this issue was fixed in version 2018.4 for Windows. I am very sorry, I thought I had the last version.
Je pense que j'ai besoin d'un update !

I've updated my version of Sibelius to 2018.4 build 1696 and indeed I have now Version 3 of Voice Position Rule, however it's still not perfect (or, to be fear, still not there yet).
I still need to correct the voice positioning of the second voice with the Inspector, even using Version 3.
You can see in the example, first mesure is the default position, using Version 3, and second measure is what I would like to see. (I've corrected manually the B's X Offset with the Inspector by -0.28).
For some people is may be not such a big deal, but at first view, I think the second mesure follows more the standars.
Thanks and greetings!
