Hi,

I am considering switching to Sibelius from another notation software. Since I use VSL samples (Symhonic Cube), and as I want to maximally use all available articulations, I spend quite some efforts linking notation features (articulations, text indications, ...) to these samples. In that context I was wondering whether Sibelius allows to distinguish between notes under a legato slur, in particular the first and last, as I would treat these somewhat differently from the rest of the slurred notes (e.g., the first note would be a non-legato with perhaps some extra attack, the last note under a slur would be shortened to prepare the attack on the note occurring after the slur).

I couldn't find this information in the manual, so I was hoping to get this information from this forum.

rgrds,
Koen

You can, indeed, adjust the last note under a slur. But not the first, at least within the adjustment of the slur.
