Hi there!
Sorry guys if this is a simple question but I can't find the way through.
I just want to put four quarter-notes into a 3/4 bar, a simple quadruplet.
When I insert the first quarter-note and tell Sibelius to create a quadruplet, I get a message "This is too long to fit in a tuplet", which is kind of logical because I'm not trying to create a normal triplet (3:2) but a quadruplet (4:3) and I don't find the way to do it.
Some ideas?
Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Oh, sorry. Sibelius 2018.7 Ultimate.

You have to go through the Other entry and choose a 4:3 ratio in the dialog. You can't do it directly from the Triplet option.

Yeap! Thanks a lot MikeLyons!
I've tried before the Other entry option, but I didn't know that it was possible to insert two values like 4:3, I thought I had to insert only one number. It's done now.
Thanks!

I understand the process as shown in this thread, but how do I make a quadruplet in 12/8 time? When counting in a big 4, the quad would be on the 4th beat, in eighth notes. I don't know what numbers to put in the ratio box? If that is even the way to do it?

It's exactly the same. You want 4 quavers in the time of 3 so put in the first quaver then tuplets-->other-->4:3.

Thanks for quick response. I now see the error of my ways; I had been typing 4/3 instead if 4:3. So now I have it. :D
