plugin to repeat dynamics after long rests

Post by gstew » Wed Nov 21, 2018 4:52 pm

hey everyone,

wondering if there's a plugin that will repeat a dynamic marking if there's more than a certain length of rest before the player enters again at the same dynamic?

thanks,

Grant

There is a plugin that might do what you want called "insert current dynamic".
Sib 6.2, 7.5 and 2019.1, Windows 10, 8MB RAM, 7TB 7200RPM Storage, Note Performer 2, EWQLSO, EWQLSC, Harmony Assistant and some others.

Or you could just enter it yourself. This does two things. It makes sure that you know what the dynamic is supposed to be, and it makes sure the player knows.

The usual question is "what's the quickest" or "easiest" way to do something. But the fact is that as long as your working on a computer, everything is going to be faster than if you worked on paper. And when your're done, you have a readable printout. I have nothing against paper. But when your done, you still have to enter it on the computer.
Besides, you're working with music. There is nothing "quick" or "easy" about music. Notation is an imperfect method to convey music.
