I figured out the commands to hide my empty staves (Layout>Hiding Staves>Hide Empty Staves). But I've come upon a problem. I'm ready to begin the operation. I've highlighted the staves I wish to be hidden. But "Hide Empty Staves" is not an option for me. The words are in grey, meaning non-functioning. "Show Empty Staves" is in black letters, which means it's ready to go, but "Hide Empty Staves" is disabled. How can I enable it and start using it?
Thanks for any help!

Never mind, it's working! The only different thing I did was -- when the problem was occuring I was showing the score in Panorama Mode. When I switched to "Spreads Horizontally" the "Hiding Empty Staves" became operable.
Thanks anyway!

Yep. You can't hide empty staves in Panorama. It tells you that in the manual.
