I use to work on Sibelius 4, but have now upgraded to a much newer version. I would appreciate it if anyone can help me with the following:

When I typed in the chord it normally did it as I typed it. But now with the newer version it automatically changes it. So for instance: If I type in Dmaj7, it now puts the "maj" part of the chord at the top with the 7, and not at the bottom with the D - they way I like it. Is there a way I can change this? And if I type in Dmaj7(9) it automatically change it to Dmaj7(add9) - with the "maj" and all the rest, again at the top. How do I get rid of the "add" part and keep only the 9 in brackets?

I have tried everything in "Engraving Rules" and can't seem to find a way where I have better control of the chords.

Thanks so much!

1) yes you should be able to change most, but not all, things to your heart's delight! But you haven't said which version of Sib you now have, so I can't tell you where to do it! :)
2) you can choose to use 'Legacy' chords, which will let you input and display things like that Dmaj7(9) exactly as before. File>Preferences>Other will get you there!

And yes, sorry, using Sibelius 2018.6 now.
