Sibelius Taking Over 6 Minutes To Open
Which Mac OS is this? The problem is that when something goes wrong with a Mac, there is less that can be done. Is Sibelius the only software you are having trouble with? If so, that's good. I suggest closing Sibelius (yeah, I know), and shutting down the computer. Not just restarting it. Let it think about it's sins for a few moments. Then start it up. Go to Utilities. Depending on how old you OS is, you'll either have a utility called First Aid, or something to restore permissions. Run that. Then restart the computer and try Sibelius. If that doesn't work, try starting Sibelius from the applications folder rather than the desktop. Good luck.

I don't know where I would need audio drivers, never had a issue with those before and my Mac is up to date. The only thing that works for me is that I turn off and on my computer about every two weeks. That's the only time when there is an issue with Sibelius. When my computer is on, Sibelius is always on, so it's not a real big issue. Anyway thanks for you input.
So the next time you start Sibelius, watch the splash screen. Down in the lower left corner there is dialogue that tells you what Sibelius is loading. Tell us what process is loading when it stops on one for a long time. Might be more than one. It shouldn't spend more than a second or two on anything.

Checked the splash screen and Sibelius is stuck on "Creating Main Menu". It's been over ten minutes and it's still now open. It never took this long. Just tried opening Sibelius from the applications menu and it did nothing at all, no wheel spinning, nothing. I have an older version 7 that I tried to open and that wouldn't open either.
Try disconnecting from the internet, restart our mac, then start Sibelius.
A long shot, but Sibelius does two things on line when it starts. It checks to see if it is activated and if it needs to up date. A problem with either of those services could slow down start up. I'd know more on a PC. Some folks have had problems with the activation manager.
