Sibelius 6.xx note input - 3 octaves

After having Sibelius dormant for a few months, I started it up today. Now, using keyboard input it enters 3 octaves. Where in the manual can I find out how that happened and how I can eliminate this? I never had that issue before in 7 years of use..... Many thanks.
(Follow up: issue fixed.... someone activated Key Mode on my Roland key board and I had not noticed.... No Panic.....)
