I have just installed Sib Ultimate on a replacement (new) MacBook Pro. 256 storage. Ran into problems loading Sibelius Sounds from lack of space. 2 questions
1. Can I install Sib Ultimate and the Sound library on an external disk, and if not...
2. Can I install Sib Ultimate on the home drive and reference the sounds from an external disk?
Thanks

Thanks, but Sibelius doesn't seem to recognise the external drive. Do I need to reboot for Sib to see it?
Yes. Sib does not refresh its device count once it has initialised. You must quit Sib and restart it to see the new device..
having said that, I don't have a problem with external drives on windows.
If your sounds are already on the external drive, sib will not see them until you close down sib and restart. It may ask you where they are, at which point you can show it where they are.
Don't think you can just copy the files onto an external drive without installing them properly. There are whatever the mac equivalent of registry entries to be created.
