What does shift+paste do extra compared to normal paste exactly?

If you are talking about [ctrl][shift]v, however, that opens the arrange dialog, allowing you to paste multiple voices or chords across several staves. Arrange separates out chords and multiple lines of notes according to the criteria you set up in the Arrange dialog. Read the manual. in my copy it's in the section on the Note Input Tab (Chapter 3.6).

I paste ie. dynamics using middle mouse button. Dynamics end up randomly where I paste them. Then I have to adjust the position or click on Appearence => position.

When I use Shift and then paste the end up correctly, at least I think so (but not sure), since clicking on Appearence => position doesn't alter the position.

If you are entering multiple dynamics: enter the first one, Come out of text editing (press [ESC}) select the dynamic and press [ctrl]c.

Select (using [ctrl]-click all notes where you want the same dynamic and press [ctrl]v.

In Sib 2019 you can enter the same dynaimc in all parts at once! (Select the starting place, type [ctrl]e, type the dynamic, press [ESC] Simples!)

[shift]+paste does nothing
[alt]-click (with the dynamic selected) will past a copy of the dynamic (or any objects) where you click.

[shift]+paste does nothing
Correct. I wat actually meaning [shift]+paste (using middle mouse button)

Then it copies to default position, wheras paste (using middle mouse button) puts it sometimes elsewhere.
