Hi all,

How do you set up chord entry without tab? I can get rid of tab after entering but haven't figured out how to set up the page so I don't have tab at all.

Many thanks!

When you set up your score, select guitar notation in the instrument section.

Hi Bobp,

Thank for your reply. I did do that but the guitar tab still shows up. I did figure how to get rid of tabs by going into preferences and selecting the no tab option.

Thanks again.

Interesting. 7.5 does not have that option.

Sorry, I misremembered how I did it, go to: appearance>engraving rules>chord symbols; In the chord symbols menu under appearance check the "chord text only" button. Bam! Works in 7.5

Best

Do you mean chord diagrams? As in the fretboard diagrams that show fingering?

Yes, sorry for the misunderstanding. I was using incorrect nomenclature.

Sheesh, knowing what question to ask makes all the difference.

Best!
