Hi forum,
I am trying to help out another composer to clean up a complex score for opera. Throughout the score there a lots of things that needs fixing. One one page however he created a double bar line and wanted to start with the next section on the next page. For some reason it looks like in the attachement and won't let me glue them together again. I already tried layout >> system break, page break, etc...
We want the first section to end on one page. Then the next section shall start on the next page.
This is probably an easy fix… but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone help out here?
Thanks.

Trouble Shooting: Double Barlines
I think this is what you want at this point.
To join the two scores together:
Select the last measure of the first piece with the first measure of the second piece(all instruments).
In the Home tab, select Bars/Join.
Fill out the pop-up window. That should make them one piece again.
To make a page break:
Select the bar line where you want the page break.
Go to Layout.
Select, Page Break.

To make a page break select the barline (in this case, the final barline at the RH end of the bar before the break) and use [ctrl][RETURN] (ie the BIG enter key). Much easier than faffing with menus/ribbon. To revert it to no break, press [ctrl][RETURN] again. To make a system break, just press [RETURN] with the barline selected.
Select the bar after the barline and open the inspector and set the Gap Before Bar value to 0. That should get rid of the gap altogether.
