I'm trying to show a segno (or D.S. sign) at the beginning of a 4 bar multimeasure rest. There seems to be no way to do this without the segno breaking up the 4 bar multirest into 1+3 bars. I've tried everything I can think of. Googled for the answer for the past two hours. How am I the only one with this issue!! Why is there no option to NOT break the multimeasure rests?! Is this a bug in the software, or just a lack of functionality. Seems pretty basic, not sure why this has to be so complicated...

Any help would be really appreciated!

How are you inserting it? As a zymbol or as text? Text is better.
Make sure the attachment point is the barline

I would insert the segno as you are doing (to preserve playback) and then hide it! Insert a segno from the symbols menu and anchor it to the bar before your multirest (this has NO effect on playback) and then drag the symbol to wherever you want it.

This is how I do it anyway - works for me :-)
